What is Provided in the BDL Kitchens?
At The Black Diamond Lodge, we have two full kitchens for our guests to use 24 hours a day during their stay. The first is the breakfast room which is on the main floor just off of the lobby. The second, is in the Columbine room which is downstairs and a little larger. In this blog we will go through all of the amenities included in these two kitchens so you can be prepared for your stay with us! No more hauling around pots, pans, or blenders we’ve got it all!
The Breakfast Room
Conveniently located right off the lobby, the Breakfast Room has a refrigerator and freezer (with a filtered water dispenser), electric stove, oven, coffee maker, microwave, sink, and dish drying rack. It has all of the coffee mugs, bowls, plates, pots, pans, and utensils you’ll need to cook basic meals. Just remember it is a community area, so do your dishes so there are enough for everyone. This is also where we stock the fridge with bagels and cream cheese (we also provide you with all of the coffee, creamer, and tea you’ll need for your stay). Our coffee comes from the local Desert Sun Coffee Roasters, and they use only fair-trade organic beans. They are a super awesome company with many different flavorful roasts, so we suggest you check them out if you want the perfect souvenir from Durango!

The Columbine Room
The Columbine is our bigger kitchen/dining room that can seat up to 100 people, but we will set tables and chairs out for your guest count. This kitchen is also a bit larger, which makes cooking big family meals easier. We have two ovens, a large electric stove, a double sink, a dishwasher, two fridges with freezers, and a full pantry with tons of dishes, pots, pans, utensils, bowls, cups, plates, mugs, and other glasses.
